TOKYO TREE HOUSE

銀杏並木に面した敷地のメリットを活かして、都市居住の「快楽」を追求した住宅。

銀杏並木や通りの往来との「近さ」をポジティブに捉え、住空間に活発さを与える要素として取り込むべく、通りからの床の高さ、横長窓の高さと階段との位置関係などを吟味しました。

木登りしているような視点で通りを見下ろすリビングの一種独特の浮遊感と通りの往来にそのまま投げ出されたような設えの階段。

通りの往来の水平運動がそのまま建物内に引き継がれ、
階段周りの垂直運動と交錯し、新たな「動き」が誘発されるようなイメージ。
この空間の流動性が、この住宅の最大の魅力です。

This house sits at the tiny corner lot, while facing the tree-lined ginkgo.

The house was built in close proximity to the road boundary so as to emphasize the corner lot, in order to offer the background for the pedestrian and the ginkgo and keep the human scale.

On the main floor, the horizontal window of the living area was provided along the tree-lined ginkgo, resulting to offer the vista with unique floating feeling and the sense of intimacy with the town.

The floating stair converts the fluidity of the internal space from horizontal direction to vertical direction, by being set up at the end point of the horizontal window.
